| Birth Control
Question:
Is it advisable to perform operation which prevent child in future?
What are the method to control birth according to religion?
Dr. S
Response:
Generally speaking Muslim jurists do not recommend any permanent method of preventing pregnancy, neither for females nor for males.
Temporary pregnancy control is allowed in Islam. For this purpose one can use any healthy contraceptive method available.
Permanent sterilization is permissible only in the case of serious health problems. If for health reasons doctors recommend that a husband should not impregnate his wife, then he is allowed to have a vasectomy. Similarly, if a woman has some incurable disease, and further pregnancy is injurious to her health or to the health of her fetus then she is also allowed to have permanent sterilization.

Response from Dr. S
Dear Sir,
Aslamo alykum. Thanks for right reply
Thanks for the reply which you have given to me through E-mail. At present I
feel that most of the islam follower does not know the correct shariyat and
even education in our religion is also low. Our ulema due to vested interest
they are not giving proper knowledge to all.
There should be some forum in a group of educated people and they have to teach the mass about the correct procedure.
In India the population of Muslim is about 11 percent. But the higher officers
and in other wel placed post are very few. I would like to give one example. I
am working in the dairy in (name of city removed) with the staff of 1600. And out of it I am
the only one officer from the follower of Islam.
I hope in future we will contact more on other related topics.
