Can Non-Muslims Fast in Ramadan

Question:
hello,
my husband is muslim and im not but i want to do the ramadan and i am considering becoming muslim soon. all i want to know is if it is possible do the ramadan and being "recognise" by Allah

Answer:
Hello
Yes, of course you can do the Ramadan fasts.  Allah Ta'ala sees our intention and what is in our heart.  Since your intention is to please Allah and for His blessings and guidance, He is merciful and gracious and will take your heart's desire into account.  Many non-Muslims who are interested in Islam but have not taken the Shahadah do establish the prayers and fasts even before they formally embrace the religion.  As far as I know this is encouraged.

May Allah Ta'ala accept your actions and bless you with His guidance & mercy.

Regards,
Uzma Mazhar
